Why does it seem like so many people are looking for the easy way, everyone wants to get rich and no one seems to wanna work for it any more. Hey I am no exception I wanna get rich too but I go to work every day and try to build a business.... I see too many people trying to get rich on PTC and every other sort of site like it going. Sure when I came to mylot i did it for the money but quickly realized that I wont be retiring from it any time soon and now I just come here for fun and the pay is an added bonus.
bottom line the only people that are getting rich are the ones doing the paying so Do what they did and make the money.....

Hi Dude, it good that you realised that mylot wont let you retire from your work. I joined mylot on someone recommendation cause she is looking for referral. Out of our friendship, I agreed. But I knew, it wont let me retired, infact it just get me to work and work. Seriously, looking positively, I love the discussion here and even I did not response to some, its really is a learning process. Its interesting to read others people views and perception. It helps to enrich your brain and knowledge to understand other cultures, people, beliefs and lifestyles. ITs very enriching and it pays too, that a consolation. To get rich, one have to be commited. There is no such thing as sleep and you will be rich on those online program. Dont get yourself entice with all those to get rich, its a lot of hard work, no commitment no success, and success = skills = knowlegde. You really have to study and learn the trick and method the hardway through commitment. Good luck and to your success!

mostly they did real estate or inherited it
there is an interesting book "the Millionaire Next Door" its very interesting
they invited some millionaires to visit and do surveys for the book
they offered them caviar and champaign, mostly they wanted sandwiches and Bud, and they drove old cars

I keep wanting to read that book but forget to look for it when I am at the library. I put it on hold just now so I can't forget again. Thanks for the reminder!

I feel the same way - want to get rich but know the only way is going to be hard work or a miracle :( Yes dear I know we haven't talked in ages - it's just been crazy around here and each day seems to get worse.
Writing has dropped off to next to nothing, am working on a new business but it's tons of work with a million distractions and often I'm putting in 20 hours a day on it with next to no help.
I would love to come up with some really neat 'new' thing that could make some easy money but for the time being am stuck with sweat and tears.

Precisely! Only the rich can get richer because they are rich. The poor can only dream to be rich if they are not yet rich. While they are not yet rich, the quickest way is to look for quick money so that one can be on the path to richness. Logical and sensible path :P

hey
as long as I can get a pound of flesh, every day, bloody and rare
then I'm ok
I don't even care who I have to eat
a 99 cent double cheeseburger from McDs will do in a pinch though

I agree with you.People want to work less for more money.
I earn online some extra money but not much is easier to buy then something on the internet for me like a cd or clothes. But i also go to work everyday and study so i can build my own business.
I always think if you do want to get rich you have to work hard.I know rich people who really had to work so hard to get where they are now.So that's my drive ti keep myself motivated and knowing i can be rich too by working my way to the top.

I know exactly what you mean and it isn't just online.
I am currently looking for a new job - I got laid off along with three other people.
My last interview, the interviewer mentioned that they had had problems with people who were hired and wanted to sit around and goof off all day and still get paid instead of doing the job they had been hired for. (That was why they were hiring AGIAN.)

Good for you, you have the opportunity to build a business. If only I had a brilliant idea along with some start-up capital, I wish to be able to do that too some day. Until then, I'll be typing away here at mylot. LOL

I don't know about other countries, but in the U.S. it seems that we all have this mentality that we need to hit it big to be successful. Therefore, we all buy well above our means and then have to figure out how to scramble to make ends meet. I am trying to live differently than that. My husband and I own a business which we work together every day. We make sacrifices and bend over backward to try to make life work for us. Just this week we talked about giving up our house and moving into a small townhouse because this is just not working financially. To everyone else it is taken a backward step. To us, though, it is a forward move as we wish to live without struggling. I tell you all of this so I can say... I know exactly what you are saying. I love myLot, but not for the pay. It is for the friendships I have made here. I love being able to share my opinions and stories of my life. I think the key to seeing everyone want to get rich by not working is that somewhere along the line people started teaching kids that it was possible to do that, and now everyone wants that life. Eventually the pedulum will stop swinging in that direction and the value will be on hard work and living within our means again. Good luck with building your business! What do you do?
