i hate them,i usually get very tense while we are having storms, and pace the house until they have passed.about six months ago we had severe flooding here on the central coast,of n.s.w australia, and the storms hit us all of the sudden and i had one child stuck on a school bus, that could not get through the flooding roads, and the other child stuck at a shopping centre.it was the most upsetting time as i could not reach my children, all i could do was wait.the school bus arrived about 2 hours late.then i got in my car and took a chance to get through flood waters to get my daughter.luckily my car got through as many did not.we are experiencing major storms again nearly every day this week and i am a nervous wreck.have you had expierences like this?

In summer here there will be storms for a few times. Usually even if it's serious, but it won't lead to a big damage. When I was a child, I liked to have a storm. As that means to say I didn't have to go to school and it was always a good news not to go to school.

i am glad that your storms are not serious.most of our are usually o.k,but in the last 6-8 months we have had some very serious storms and major flooding, which is really scary when you have to try and find your family and get through flood waters to get them.i hope you do not ever have storms like that.cheers sue

Well not so much like, though we get a share of storm in the southern part of this country. usually classes are suspended... and even it wasn't yet announced, my mom wouldn't allow my siblings to go to school. :-)

good on your mum for keeping you home safe and sound.i do not let my daughter go to school when there is a big storm now,as she travels about 1 and half hours to school and i get so worried now that if anything happens like these floods i will not be able to get to her and she would be stranded.luckily last time she was only stranded at the local shops.and i could eventually get to her.cheers sue

i hate snow storms. I dont mind the rain so much it just sucks that I can't go outside. But I hate snowstorms becuase the roads get bad and I hate driving in it with my baby in the backseat. If I am at home then I wonder if we will be snowed in. Starting the car if I have to leave the house sucks too cause I have to scrape all the ice off. Just a big hassle snow is!

I like storms as long as they dont' rattle the windows or anythign like that. One year there was this huge storm in my home town and it knocked a tree threw my bedroom. It was crazy! But they are a good excuse to cuddle even closer to your loved one!
