Have you ever wondered where you would be if you had chosen to take a different path in life? Do you think you would be happier or more successful? Do you sometimes wish you had done things differently or are you secure in the knowledge that you made all the right decisions?

I would have to say that if I had moved from Home at like 7.5 after being hurt the first time I would possibly have been happier, I mean into Foster Care or even if my Dad had moved to a house of his own before it even happened and taken me and my Brother and Sisters with him maybe I would have been a bit happier.

I am so sorry. Living with regret is difficult and sometimes we need help dealing with the regrets we have. We all make choices we later regret and sometimes the choices are made for us and there is nothing we can do except realize that the problem belonged to the other person and try to make the most of our situation and move on.

Yes I know what you mean but it is never too late you know. I know a man who did a degree in Engineering when he was 53. My daughter who is 41 has just completed a diploma in social welfare and is doing her degree next year. There is an increasing number of mature age people doing the things they didn't get the opportunity to do or were too immature to do when they young. Don't regret, rectify.

No, I don't wonder. I'm sure if I'd done things different, I would be in a different place. However, it wouldn't be the place that I'm in now and I'm happy where I'm at. I don't live with regret. I don't regret anything as everything that has happened to me, every choice that I have made, has made me who I am today. All of those things have also gotten me where I am today.

Yes, you are right, we are a product of our lifetime choices and experiences and it is always better to live without regret, but sometimes there is that little niggle of 'if only' in our lives.
