the latest processor from intel i guess it is a quadcore extreme...so you will have the power of 4 cores in your computer and even the cache level will be really good and powerful!!So computer have this normally are much expensivebut i guess the perfromances would be the best for the moment..as regards the core 2 have just 2 cores and a cache level not so high in relation to last one..but normally it works good too especially for personal use or commercial computer as well!!

Processors for computers have really reached a standstill in terms of speed. Clock speeds are generally now under or in the area of 3.0 Ghz. The real drive is for multi-core processing, and with intel, its still in the Core2 Duo banner. No matter how fast on processor is it still has to do things one a time. With multicore processing, something with two cores, or now the quad core family of CPUs is simply doing more things at the same time, which in itself is making things done faster.
Intel and AMD are launching new Multi core CPU lines however AMD is behind by one generation and has some serious catching up to do. For a Long time now Intel has been dominating the CPU market in terms of sales in the past 2 years. We shall see what is to come.
