Teething troubles

I'm not so much looking for advice here as for people to comiserate. My son has been teething almost nonstop for weeks. The last couple of days have been very difficult. I have been wondering why since the last of his front teeth is almost through, and none have been this hard so far, not even when he got 3 in a matter of about 2 days. So I ran my finger over his gums- all the way around- and found that he has a molar cutting through. I was surprised, because I thought those come later. He is only 14 months old. Anyway, yesterday he hardly napped at all, and he was miserable. Hopefully today will be better. He has been laying in his crib now for almost 15 minutes, and he is still awake. At least he is not screaming though, like yesterday. I've got all my fingers crossed hoping that he will go to sleep. (That kind of makes it hard to type.)
Thanks for listening.

You just have to show a lot of love, and restraint.
Try differen6t teething help products and just remember that it only lasts a short time.
Hope things improve soon!

Thanks, today seems to be better, so far, but it usually gets worse in the evening when he is tired.

I've worked in baby care long enough to know that teething is different for every child. We just had a little boy who was 10 months when he cut 9 teeth all at once. You would have never known it, though. He was never fussy at all. Other children cry hard when they cut one tooth. We have a 4-month old who's cutting teeth, and a 6 month old who hasn't started. Just be glad your son has gotten a lot of teething out of the way already. It's just one of those things in life we all have to go through. It's just harder when it's your own baby who's feeling so miserable and you can't fix it.

It is harder when it is your own. I used to work in childcare, so I have been on both sides. The thing is, my son cut his first 2 teeth in two days when he was 10 months old, and he didn't show a bit of discomfort. He handled it so well that those teeth were a complete surprise to me. But it seems like each time it gets harder. I feel so bad for him.

My one year old son is teething too and we've been having a hard time and this happens everytime he gets his teeth.
My older son got his first tooth when he was 1 and we never knew when the others came out.
But with this little one, he doesn't eat till the tooth or teeth erupt (he had two come out at a time once) and he's cranky and falls ill too. He has been throwing up an passing loose stools. Everytime a tooth cuts through, he has digestion problems too.
