How do other people earn money from the internet

This would be my very first post in myLot and i'm hoping to have enough time to post here regularly. :) I was searching the net on ways to earn extra money from the internet and i've accidentally stumbled upon this site so i decided to try it. My current job does not really pay that well to accommodate my current needs, that is why i'm trying to look for ways to earn money without spending a single cent, and i know that the internet would be a possible answer to my problem. I know that this site might be a possible solution but are there other ways or better ways to earn money from the internet without spending a single cent? How do other people earn money from the net? Can anyone give me tips or help on how to do it right?
