Do you have any special Christmas traditions?

I was elated when a local group decided to bring in a troop of dancers to perform "The Nutcracker Ballet" in a small city close by. This is one of my favorite ballets. I always want to make it a part of my Christmas, but for many years have had to settle for watching it on tape. It is so much better live! They used a lot of local talent for the minor roles, especially all of the children. They were awesome! The whole production was excellent, even for a highly restricted budget and much amateur talent. One of the many things I am grateful for is beautiful music and dance talent!

I have never been to a ballet. I would enjoy it if there was somewhere near here to see it. When we were young.Santa brought us a box off chocolate covered cherries every year under the tree. No that my mother is no longer with us, I miss getting them under my tree. It just isn't the same buying them myself. I wanted to continue the tradition with my daughter, but she was allergic to chocolate until she was 7 or 8 years old. So still won't eat much chocolate now.

My brother-in-law's mother used to give us chocolate covered cherries every Christmas. I kind of miss those, too! I'm sorry your daughter's allergies put a stop to that tradition! (I think I would buy myself the candy and put Santa's name on it. I know it isn't the same, though.) I hope you will be able to see a ballet sometime. Maybe you could rent a DVD or VHS tape and watch it with your daughter.

We really don't have any special traditions, not anymore at least. However, I like watching Christmas specials on tv, especially the old classic ones that I grew up watching as a child. It just isn't the holidays if I don't get to watch them. It's kind of my own tradition I guess.

That sounds good. That way no one has to cook or clean up! Thanks for your reply.
