How do you remember your friends?

Normally I just tell my friends and loved ones that I love and appreciate them; how important they are to me and so on. But if I see an item that reminds me of any of them, I will happily purchase it (or make something for them when I think of them) and give it to them without any occasion (Birthday or Christmas etc), but rather just because they mean so much to me =) To maintain friendships, it is important to keep in contact =D
