Charcoal, Wood, or Gas

Let the great debate begin anew! I'm a die hard charcoal/wood chunk cooker-gas is for noobs & cheaters! :) Give me your best opinions (Keep it civil please) about your preferred outdoor cooking method. Make some heat on these cold winter days! While you're at it, give me your favorite cut to barbecue also, plenty of debate there also. Regional conflicts and factions encouraged to apply! Old discussion, but just now finding it.
I just recently purchased my first BBQ/Smoker and have only been able to use it 3 times so far.
I did not purchase a gas grill, to me, that kind of defeats the purchase of a BBQ! I am using mesquite wood in mine, and loving it!

I prefer the charcoal grill myself. It's just the flavor seems better over the old fashioned charcoal coals that I grew up using.
