Several years ago I went to Wal-Mart and bought two pair of binoculars. I went home and informed my wife that we were going to start making some of our own traditions. We went out to Maxwell Wildlife Sanctuary and watched the bison, elk and a fox walk around. We must have spent about an hour there. We went home and had hot chocolate. That was on New Years Day. I wonder if we will do that again on New Years Day, 2008. Have you got any traditions, or would you like to start one? Good luck.

Food is good. Lots of goodies, I guess. Do you play board games as well?

I enjoy the eating aspect of holidays as much as the next person, maybe more. I really hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, and is looking forward to a great Christmas, and a Happy New Year. I hope everyone has a great year in 2008.

I am such a humdrum person, I would like to clean out the filing cabinets and make financial plans for the whole year on New Years, setting new goals, and cleaning out the unneeded stuff. I think the wildlife sanctuary would be a good choice for part of the day, but do you take along some hot cocoa or something? How do you get warm? It seems like whether we admit it or not, Wal-Mart is at the roots of lots of new traditions.
