I think that the Wii is pretty innovative, and it was definitely successful at pulling in non-gamers into the world of video games, but there really aren't that many cool games for it. The PS3 is definitely the most powerful out of all of the consoles, and has tons of potential, but right now there really aren't that many good games out for it. The Xbox 360 is my choice, because it is decently powerful, and I think that it has the most fun games. Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Orange Box, Bioshock, these are all really fun games. I don't want this to turn into a flame war, but I'm interested in other people's opinions on this subject.

The PS3 is the absilute best. Not only do you get the most powerful console, you also get a cheap BluRay player. Really nice. I admit that the selection of games used to be a problem, but so many games have come out recently that it's not a problem any more.

The PS3 is also experiencing drastic price drops, but it still doesn't have any exclusive games which interest me. The 360 has Halo 3 and The Orange Box. The Wii has more than I care to mention when it comes to interesting exclusives. To name a few, I like SSBB and Warioware.

I love Halo 3 and all the other games you mentioned, but you're wrong about the Wii, because it has some amazing games, including Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart, and... uh... Wario Ware Smooth Moves! You also have the entire Gamecube library to play on it, which includes some nice Zelda games and a lot of Sims games.
My favorite of this generation of consoles is the Xbox 360, but the Wii is in second place, not far behind.
