I love to drink cold water, i cant have any drinks which is not cold every after meal.
I had read an article about how cold water can solidify the oily stuff that we consumed after meals. And it will slow down digestion. Once this "sludge" reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed bby the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after meal.
But cant resist on drinking a cold water or soda after meal. maybe its still too long for the cancer to take effect. lol
but seriously i know for fact that cold water is not good for those who have heart problems, an uncle of a friend of mine who is having an heart attack was given a cold water and the water adds to his difficulty in breathing and unfortunately he died.
Well, maybe this should be taken seriously.
Anyone who loves cold water/drinks?

I have stopped drinking cold drinks at meals after reading that same post on here and it is so very logical, during winter I also stopped drinking from the frigde, during summer i will only have a cold drink from the fridge on a very hot day because I know when I do I tend to cough a lot, so I think we should take heed to all this for our healths sake.

Hi larskie! That is really good information my friend and I absolutely agree with you! I have been doing water therapy for several months now. Part of my regimen is to drink only hot beverages or warm water after each meal because taking cold water does solidify whatever oil intake I had in my meal. My husband and I take a minimum of 2-160ml of water upon waking up in the morning on an empty stomach, after 45 minutes we take hot choco or hot coffee/tea with our breakfast, then on lunch and dinner we do take warm water or hot beverages with our meals. We only take cold water or cold beverages after 2 hours or more. With this regimen, I feel better and healthier. Never had colds or coughs since I practiced it and my digestion and elimination process is really great. LOL! Take care and have a nice day. :)

yes thsts true! why chinese traditionally drink chinese tea with their food?
because chinese cuisine involves frying with lot of oil(manchurial,noodles..etc) drinking hot chinese tea helps melt lipids and help them metabolise faster instead of cooling and solidifying.so its not advisable to aet icecream or drink cold beaverages after eating oily food

Sorry to hear about your friends uncle. My dad has had about 6 heart attacks, has half of heart that's smaller than the other half. He's always had something cold to drink in his hand and has never stopped. With the last two heart attacks, my mom gave him his heart pill with his ice tea, which helped long enough to get him to the hospital, but it didn't stop him from having another one. If it wasn't for those 2 heart attacks back to back, we would have never learned about his heart.
So I don't think drinking anything cold with meals will cause cancer, or it would have been proven long ago. With my dad's experience, drinking something cold while having a heart attack won't always cause that person to die. My dad is proof of that.

this sounded a little fishy to me so I looked it up at snopes. Sure enough, it's there and mentions the urban legends dealing with both "cold water after food leads to cancer" and "cold water after food leads to heart attack".
There is no scientific basis for this. Please read for yourself.

i experienced that one when i got tired from jogging, i immediately drank cold water and the next thing i knew my heart was like freezing as the cold water went down my larynx (or whatever you call that tube)....was just so difficult to breathe.... thought i'd die that very instant.

I have never heard that and it scares me as all I drink is icy cold water. I can't stand warm water. Don't they drink hot soup in many asian countries as their drinks? Maybe that is why they have less heart problems. Very interesting stuff!
