Gee, I'm in the same dilemma. I'm at a loss as to what I'll give my boyfriend this Christmas for a gift. I was thinking of giving anything in the line of accessories but I guess it won't be of much use. I'm more of a practical person and I want my gift to be very useful to whoever I'll be giving. I'm tired of giving clothes though. Any suggestions?
Djmarion, if you want something inexpensive yet meaningful, try making something instead. You could probably give him a scrapbook of his childhood or something. I would like to do that but I don't have much time. Well good luck to you and if you have suggestions for me, pls do so. thanks

I love giving personalized gifts. I just got done ordering coffee mugs for my inlaws and my husband who drinks coffee all the time. I got pictures of our kids on them and they say "we love you grandma, we love you pap and we love you daddy" I also got my sister a shirt with a picture of the kids and it says "we love you aunt krystle". One year i got my husbands grandmother a gift that had all the stuff that happened in the year of her birth (1901) she loved it.

For my loved ones this year, I actually purchased several DVD movies so it will be something I can watch together with them. I will be spending time with them while doing something we all love at the same time. I enjoy watching movies, and I know what types of interests my loved ones have, so I'm able to pick out what types of movies they would like to watch.
Another idea for you in particular would be to get a picture frame, which is inexpensive, and put a photo of you and/or your loved one. Maybe you have a digital camera and have a chance to take a picture with that special person before Christmas. Get a nice frame and put the picture in it. What a pleasant surprise for your loved one.
Those who are special to use also enjoy things that mean a lot to us. If you don't have a lot of money to spend, the thing that you have the most of is time. Spend some time making something special for that person, and they will know your gift has meaning! Some ideas would be a photo book, a drawing or painting (if you do any of these things), or even a note or poem for them, depending on how much time you have and how creative you are.
Most importantly, something from your heart to your loved one is a must! Get and make something for that person that means something to you, and they'll love it just as much!
