Guitar Hero---new to this stuff!

My husband has played Guitar Hero at a couple of different parties we've been to and really likes it. We have never had any gaming systems before. I want to surprise my husband and kids for Christmas. I just won a PS2 on ebay and I went out and bought GH2 at Target. I'm looking for two wireless guitars now. The PS2 system came to $127 with shipping. Does that seem like a fair price? How much can I expect to pay for the guitars? Is there one kind to avoid or another you reccommend? I'm very new to this! Any help or advice would be appreciated.

PS2 options in general are hard to find due to the fact that the PS2 is obsolete when in comparable to the PS3. $127 shipped brand new is ok, if used, no its not a good price. If u look around you can pik up a used ps2 at EB or Gamestop (U.S.) for under $100, but again, $127 can be mistaken for convenience.
Price for guitars, well just looking at ebgames.com and type in guitars in guitar hero 2, u will find guitars at $60 US, a good price. Obviously excluding shipping if your ordering online. The only thing to avoid is buying an xbox 360 version of guitar that will not work with the PS2. Other than that its very difficult to screw up, and there is no bad guitar, there all the same... made in some foreign country and are plastic.
