What do u think of those sites having wrong information on them.? I think most sites are there and not maintained regularly. Like non-formal sites (personal, adware and malware sites)these errors make users think internet is not a reliable place for getting correct information. And certainly too, that those good/prominent sites like yahoo employ and pay many people. Certainly too, they are for many making purposes to make it survive. So where else can you get free information where you pay for your internet surfing hours and make you a worthy experience?
