What is your answer?

It actually depends on the situation. I can't fully answer the question since I have no idea about these people's lives, neither have I seen both. There are lots and lots of reasons. For one, she may think it because he married her. But marriage isn't only because of love. Maybe he just married her because she's rich or there's something in her to his benefit (like a good cook, good finances, good stature in life, etc.) or maybe he was forced into marriage and doesn't want to lose face by breaking the marriage. Another is, maybe he stays with the wife because of the kids. Another reason she could think that she's best is because no matter what he does, he doesn't neglect his responsibilities as her husband and the father of the kids. Another is, maybe the type of women he's after are those easy-to-get women who doesn't really appeal to his deeper being but a few minutes of satisfaction alone. And the wife is far higher than the level of those women. I could think of a lot really, but I'm too lazy to type-in all these thoughts. But no matter how I think of a fitting reason, I think it's more deep within the guy that's why he still returns to the wife. One thing is for sure though. He's wasting his time fooling around because he failed to enjoy the moment with that single person who is meant for him patiently waiting for him. And someday when she's gone, then he'd surely regret. Men's needs are insatiable, I guess, but only a fool would keep on searching for other things when in fact the one that he needs is right in front of him. =)

Because she is still the wife. I mean, her husband could all have the ladies in the world, but, at the end of the day he goes home to her. :D

Look, this man may like other women more han the wife, but he is not committed to those other ladies, he has more shame walking hand in hand in broad daylight with those other ladies than with his wife because public oppinion will hit him hard if goes public with a woman other than his wife. The wife believes he is her man because, they live together-they share finances, he looks after her, shares her bed's pleasures and it is possible, the wife you refer to as silly may even be aware but chooses not to rock the boat ecause she has no proof. As a matter of fact, the silly persons here are the heating man and the woman because they operate in the dark and are ahsamed to come to the open!

Okay, I've read and reread your statement and I have one reason....according to my understanding --- it simply means that the husband, being a man, is more inclined to like ladies/women; fortunately, the wife is a lady and thus there is no doubt in the wife's mind that the husband would like her more more than "anything" (please note anything in quotations to signify that it is not "anyone"! ^^)

Hmm if it was my hubby who told me that he likes a lot of other women more than me I will slap him silly and tell him to get with one of them...Now to this lady who still thinks that her husband still likes her even after that comment. Maybe she has a good sense of humor and her hubby likes to joke a lot...Because if the husband was truly telling his wife that he loves others rather than his own wife than what he truly is telling her is that he don't love her. He only is with her because he can't get with the other ladies...Or maybe the wife can't get any other man so she is content with having a man who don't love her for her...
