My lasts maximum for 45 minutes and it's new. That's so terrible because sometimes when I go for a longer trip I'd like to see a movie but I can't because the battery doesn't last for that long. What about you? How long does your battery last for?

mine lasts only for few minutes. this is because initially i never drained the battery charge frequently. so now it is not at all charging. you need to charge and discharge battery periodically if you want optimum performance.

The most annoying thing about laptop battery's is they always choose to die at the most critical moment, like just before saving a large document, and usually gives no warning. So I use a program that tells me when the battery is low and has saved me a number of times.

Hello dear lorelai. My laptop battery is now useless because it only lasts a few minutes. I have taken it off my laptop not wanting to use it any more. It is mainly because my laptop is six years old, I think.

My laptop lasts for more than 2 hours to 3 hours depending on what I use it for...
It depends on your laptop eventually....Is yours an ultraportable or the huge bulky one?
Try lowering the screen brightness, turn off the wireless connectivity when not in use as well as turn on screensaver etc to conserve battery power and see if those help

Your's is a new one and it lasts for only 45 minutes??? Why don't you return it. I also bought a new laptop recently, and I ordered a 9 cell battery to the conventional 6 cell battery. It lasts for about 5 hours.

yeah my battery only lasted for about 45 minutes. I could never watch a movie without having it plugged in. We just had to give our laptop up. Read my post rent a center woes. Hopefully we will be getting it back soon though.

Well the only battery that I got for my laptop's now kaput.
My older sister owned this laptop, but since it came from UsedLaptops.com , and a lightning storm fried the modem, the storm could've affected the battery life as well, so the battery's useless. The only power source it needs is an electrical plug, because when I pull it out, my laptop goes "PFFT!"
Instant shutdown.

no
if you are flying someplace
say hi to the person next to you
if you can't speak with someone who has money to fly and is having an adventure, then you are hopeless

45 minutes isnt really good. My laptop lives for 2 hours on the battery and there is no issues about it. However i travel a lot too and i am forced to use my laptop judiciously than in the way i want to use it because of the 2 hours limitation. However my friend's dell laptop lasts for 4 hours and thats a long time for laptops. Of course, on a longer trip watching movies will definitely not be too good to use a laptop for so i take my ipod to watch movies. Small screen so i take only small not so great movies.
