I had to buy me a NO SOLICITING sign today

Most of you know that I take care of kids in my home during the day. We have people stopping by all the time trying to sell us stuff. It happens at least once or twice a week and it's really starting to annoy me. I understand people have to work and sell stuff sometimes to make money but I just don't like them coming to my door when the kids are here. It never fails, they always ring my doorbell while the kids are taking a nap and then it wakes them up and sometimes I can't get them to go back to sleep. It startled my son so bad one time that he woke up crying because the man rang my doorbell three times in a row without letting up on the doorbell. There is this one truck that comes by selling meat and every single time I tell the man I am not interested. The name of the company isn't even on the side of the truck and he has this little freezer thing on the back of the truck and it doesn't have the name of the company on it either. Well, today another guy selling meat stopped by. I had just gotten the kids down for their nap and I had to tell this guy 7 times that I was not interested. He kept saying well it comes with seafood. I said I don't eat seafood. Well, it comes with this. I'm not interested. Well, blah blah blah...I had to tell him 7 times and then he still goes on and on. I just said thank you and started to close my door and he got mad at me and said well whatever and he walked off my porch. I thought I definitely wouldn't buy anything from you now. He probably said something not nice about me when he got back in the truck with the other guy but I don't really care. So I went on ebay and bought me a no soliciting sign that I am going to have my husband put up at our front door. Hopefully this will help stop all these people trying to sell stuff to me. I don't mean to make anybody mad by this post but it just drives me crazy. It wouldn't bother me so bad if the kids weren't napping but it always happens that they come by while they are napping and they wake them up. Do you like it when people come by trying to sell stuff to you at your home? Do you have a no soliciting sign up at your house and if so, does it work for you?

I rare ever have people try to come to my home and sell me things. Mostly they try to call but I dont answer the phone Im a screener. But that WOULD be annoying. Hopefully the sign will keep them out.

I hope the sign will keep them out. We don't have many people that call to sell us things cause we are on that do not call list but they sure do come to our door a lot.

I live in an apartment block and you need a security card to get into the doors so I don't have a problem with soliciting at all.

that is just so annoying. i also don't like people going into our house selling stuffs. especially at a very inconvenient time, like if i'm taking a nap, or watching a movie, or eating, or just whenever. ^__^;; like you, i know they are just working and they are just trying to make money for a living, but when i say no, that's no and they should understand that i'm not interested. and they should come in a time that they won't disturb the person.
we don't a "no soliciting" sign outside our house but our house is not really open. i mean, we don't have any doorbells, and we have a gate and it really seems not open to strangers. LOL
