Who uses paypal?

I was wondering how many here uses paypal? I am also curious if anyone’s had any problems with them. We use paypal on a daily bases and I have been noticing when we ship to places such as Italy or the U.K ect some customers complain to paypal and paypal just takes the funds. Today we had this happen where we shipped an item and they paid for Ground Shipping from Hamilton Ontario Canada to Italy after only being 25 days and paypal takes our funds on places them on hold. Grrrr this upsets me to no end for we ship through paypal and Canada post which includes the tracking ....Has anyone have this kind of thing happen. please feel free and share your feelings

I use PayPal. Just because it is easy to track, lots of ways to pay, and its secure! I just wouldn't feel safe paying any other way. I have never had a problem with PayPal. That REALLY sucks that that happened to you... Hope you can get that fixed!

I personal love and use paypal . They have been a great relabile resource for me . Espically thier debit card feauture since my bank does'nt offer debit card . I have PAYPAL set up with my bank account and they work great together .

I use paypal but only within the United States and haven't had any problems with them at all. I am so sorry you have this kind of problems, maybe you need to communicate with them and see what's going on.

I have been using paypal for nearly two years and till now i haven't faced any problem. People do shopping online which i don't do and so far i have done only once and thats also from ebay as friends say that its safe and secure. I bought a denim pant from ebay once and it was very cool, they delivered it on time and it was also in good condition and also there was no transaction problem with it. Having been a past powerseller and had many dealings with paypal i can honestly say they are the WORST online payment service that you can find.
Paypal have a shed load of flaws in the way they run their business, they leave both buyers and sellers open to fraud and they have not done a thing about these flaws even though they have been aware of them for a good while.
If you take a look at www.paypalsucks.com you will find you can spend a good few hours reading the horror stories of real people who have been done over by paypal and through paypal.
At the end of the day once problems start with paypal you have to sit back and calculate which is better 1 loosing money by fraudulent means through paypal ( which can end up adding to a fair whack each year ) or taking a slight hit on your bids for not accepting it but only accepting other forms of payment like cheques, postal orders, or cash on collection or bank transfers, i still sell the odd thing here and there on ebay when we have bought something and no longer need/want it and i do not accept paypal at all, so far i have not seen any problems with doing this, i am still achieving around the average price for my items.
At the end of the day once bitten twice as shy and with ebay promoting paypal as much as they can more and more people are only going to fall foul of their lax systems.

My Husband and I couldn’t agree with you more! I really appreciate the site you have leaded me to and I will be sure to sit and read it. This is so not the 1st time with them they are truly unfair in what they do and I can now see why a lot of people do not ship international which is ashame, We have lost a lot from paypal not just the funds they feel like taking when they want but also the product we ship to these customers. And I mean there are some true people who will email and refund us but there are other times when I even try to contact them to see if they receive the item and No response. This hurts esp with Christmas and all I just can’t believe this. The sad part is we have been this company paypal for over 5 years using their services everyday and they take away from us! My husband called them regarding this and the first 2 people were giving him answers by the book so he asked to talk to someone higher then the first 2. They said they cannot release the funds until this has been resolve. But as you know they only give you 30 days for the buyer to get their item. There is NO way this lady will get it in 30 days for this item was shipped ground by her choice which can take up to 8 weeks so again regardless I guess we got hit hard this time around =( Thank you again and will keep you posted for I’m not giving up this time.

Thanks you for a nice discussion, so that lots of facts are now open. I use PayPal but as being from india, there was no facilities to withdraw money from paypal. But recently it tied up with some Indian Banks & you can directly transfer your money to any nationalized back account directly. Still there is one string attached. You have to add a credit card to your account, so that money can directly transfer to your account and today, i have got a mail from PayPal by revaling that, you can request a cheque from paypal in India with minor transaction fees.

i have a paypal account. but its only for mylot.but i am facing problem with the same.it told we can transfer money to indian bank account. i registered and did that. but it was not traferred and above all so much money has been deducted for nothing.

I will be starting to use paypal next month. I prefer to use paypal than moneybookers because moneybookers has more fee, it already take half of the amount of our money. Paypal is new here in my country... so I am just giving it a try. I hope it would work better than mylot is. Can paypal be transfer to zoom? I heard taht it is possible to withdraw paypal through zoom.

I have never had any problems with paypal.
I use it for buying things and for receiving money but i never had any problems.
I think they are really fast and i think their service is great.
Maybe paypal is not a great way to ship things.I never ship things through paypal i rather use some other service which i always used.

I use paypal a lot. And i have had several problems with them. Somehow someone keeps logging in to my account with a foreign ip and then taking my money. So i would watch about using paypal.

I used to sell internationally on ebay, now I just buy. I have used, and continue to use Paypal. I never experienced any issues with Paypal. Hope you are able to resolve the situation promptly.

Yes I do, and haven't had any problems yet. But then again, I am only a small user that uses it occasionally. I don't sell, so it hasn't been a problem for me. I only use my paypal funds to buy little gifts such as CDs and DVDs, that's about all so the risk are really low. I also mainly only buys stuff within my country too just to be safe.

I use paypal. They ask me to confirm a bank account and six digit password because of "unusal activity" in my paypal but won't tell what the unusual activity is.
