How many mylotters here actually sit and watch the commercials on tv.I know due to the fact that on any given station, they do nothing but repete the same lousy commercials all day,and I really try to figure out who the idiot is that makes these things?
I normally find something else that needs to be done as soon as they start.how about you?

I sometimes sit and watch the commercial if I don't need to get up for anything, but I really hate seeing the same ones over and over again. But I guess thats the sponser thats paying for the show.

it's called "brainwashing" and yes,it works.
there are some I don't mind, but there are many that to my mind, are harmfull to the environment, but they are so big, there is no way to get them to stop.
but again, that is just my opinion.
thank you for your answer.

I never watch commercials if I record something I will fast forward through them or if I am watching the show I will get up and do someting during the commericals or read a book or something. I don't think very many people actually pay attention to the commericals anyways.

When I am watching television I always have a book handy. When the commercial comes on I either get up and do something around the house or I will read some more of my book. There are a few cute commercials but most of them to me make the viewing audience look dumb. I wish they didn't bombard the programs with commercials. I am not a big television watcher but when I am watching it it is irritating for the commercials to come on as often as they do.

I dont really mind the commercials. It's only a few minutes. I sometimes accomplish a small chore during a commercial break.

I love watching commercials during the Superbowl. There are actually some pretty clever commercials out there, but because of repeititon - I can see how many of them would just get plane old and stale. But you are remembering them. So maybe that's how they get drilled into our heads.

Companies pay for their commercials' air time so the stations need to air those commercials as often as those companies require. So we viewers have no choice but to tolerate them or find something else to do. I personally do the latter -- wash dishes, go to the bathroom, or switch channels.

yes, that is true, and knowing how much it costs each time they play,I guess that accounts for the companies wanting
tham shown so often, but that does not mean it is not a waste of time for us.
I normally do the same.
thank you for your comment.

I always have a crossword or suduko book with me, so that when the commercials come on I am not wasting my time watching them, so I get stuck into a puzzle and sometimes the puzzle can be so involving that I don't realize the commercials are over! I hate wasting time, either that or when the commercials come on I use the opportunity to make a drink or go to the toilet.

lol. My sister hates me 'cause I watch those commercials. She's the kind to surf whenever the commercials come on, but I usually hold her back, saying, "hey what was that?" lol. She hates me for that.
I don't know why, but I enjoy watching commercials. Well not really enjoy them, 'cause there are some I hate. Maybe I could say I'm like a critic. lol. I always wonder where those people get ideas to make a commercial, some are really ridiculous, while some are brilliant. ^_^
But if I am busy, then I do something else while the commercials are on. ^_^
Have a Merry Christmas!

actually, during the olympics here in 88,I met a couple of them taking the course at the univercity here, and beleive it or not,one actually used one of my ideas and made a mint, but since it went in as his idea,I didn't geyt anything, but thats beside the point, those commercials cost $10.000.00 for a 10 second blurb, basically $1000.00 a second.nice way to make money if they use your idea, and most just come from what someone thinks of a product.
but I would swear, that most of them come from people in the loonie bin.
thanks for your comment, happy new year.
