When did you realize that your little kid wasn't so little any more? Today I've finally come to that. My son is doing big boy things. Like leaving the seat up and leaving half eaten sandwhiches on the table! Also he's playing this Rising Star Learning (It's a computer game it's awesome for them to learn letters and numbers) and I'm trying to help him and he keeps telling me bye. So I'll leave him alone and he can do his own thing. It's so funny. So back to the question: How old whas your kid when you realized they had taken the next step to independance?

Today actually, we bought my boys a bunk bed.. while the 15 month old is way too young, the oldest (three years) will be sleeping in his (they seperate into two twins, so we just put together one twin) I just put him down for a nap in it.. and it's so big compared to his little toddler bed.. It makes me sad that that chapter of his life is past.. that he's a preschooler technically, and is growing up way too fast. When he started reading small words and writing his name and things like that, a couple of weeks ago.. it really blew me away, and as I watch my youngest, repeat words.. and chase after his big brother.. I know his time will come too. *sigh* it's so bittersweet..

as parents, its hard when you finally realized your child is growing. My 5 year old daughter sometimes like to do things on her on. But still there are certain times when she ask me to play with her or do somethings together. I guess when she was four, there are times she wants to do things by herself.
