It's a pity that she is not running for president. Seems to me that she has better qualities than all the rest of them. She may not be too technically minded, but what does that matter? There are specialists in every field who act as advisers.
Who needs a specialist as president? We need someone who has a rapport with the public, and has compassion.

It would not even matter if Oprah was running for president or not. You see, they had the poll out, for the most influential women in the world. We all should not have been suprised when Oprah was listed on their. The only background that Oprah has on politics is that of the ones that she has interviewed. This is not a "a female is not ready to run the country" statement- for I believe that Hillary on the Democrat side is a pretty strong person. I also feel that some candidates on the Republican side are good as well. All I am trying to say is- if Oprah threw her hat into the presidential ring- then, okay. But if she did not, which would be no suprise considering the fact taht she is endorsing Obamah, then that is okay as well.

i think she is not running for president, however she is backing up someone and its obama, i really don't know much about obama but i know a lot oprah and if she is endorsing obama then obama must be a good candidate for president, maybe she wants an african-american to be the first U.S president ever and no doubt it will be a history. And don't under estimate her power because she really is a very powerful woman, even powerful and influential than Hilary

No she is backing her candidate, who is Barack Obama, I guess that is how to spell his name. Any way that is why they have her all over the news. She is his celebrity endorsement.

As the other responders have mentioned she is merely backing Obama...*sigh*...maybe thousands of bon-bon eating housewives will register to vote for the first time...and will follow their beloved Oprah, and blindly vote for Obama, whom they know nothing about...simply because Oprah said so.
I admit it...Oprah is awesome...but Obama is NOT. He is going to continue funding the war, and he thinks by giving gays the right to get married we are showing weakness. How dare he.

I thought I heard she is backing someone for the first time in her career, using her name to back some-one. I personally think she would make a wonderful President, she has the compassion and connection to the ordinary people...
