Any other single parents having trouble finding someone that wants to be with you plus kids? especially single mums, the guys you find either think your joking, seem nice but have anger problems or look at your kids like some guys look at nice....

yes, i'm one of having trouble finding someone who will be my husband..i'm also a single parent and still searching for the person that i will be my husband..it's so hard coz men really like woman who has no children yet, but i know theres someone who is for me..but sometimes, i'm thinking that i don't need a man to be my husband nor to be a father of my daughter..if God's will that he will give me one, i will accept it with all of my heart, but if not, it's alright with me also..

Well this kind of thing must leave it to fate , not all guys or girls have such compassion to accept others children as their own . or i should say thoese who will accept are rare .

I think it is a very big step for someone without children to marry someone with children, I guess it goes against the marriage dream for a lot of people, and a lot of extra responsibilty and of course you have some parents of the childless partner saying things like "oh you don't want to get involved with someone with kids" not all have these problems but a lot do but having said that I am a firm believer that love conquers all....

Yes I positively agree with your point of view. My friend's sister have had a child from her college bf, although they got married, it didn't last because the guy is not really that committed to the relationship. So they luckily got annulled. But luckily for the girl, she had an admirer whom it turned out is willing to accept her regardless of her situation, setting aside the fact that she is a single mom,and against the unsolicited opinions of his friends and family because the guy believed that (although overrated)true love do conquer all imperfections and transform them to be perfect. Now they have 4 kids and is living happily while the other guy gets tough luck.

It is hard to find anyone. It takes a special guy to want to have a good relationship with you and your kids. Many guys are not interested in a serious relationship so when you say you have kids, they assume that you are looking for a husband and father for the kids. And they know they aren't the one you are looking for.Others may not want kids period.

The hardest in finding a partner when you are single parent is the fact that you do not want your child's happiness growth or whatever to be jeopardized. I mean, you would want someone who will love you and your kid wholeheartedly without conditions. :)

That can be a tall order for most men so that's why its hard to get a good man who will be honest, supportive, caring , loving 80-100% of the time I'm not saying there are none, it's just like finding the diamond among the rocks. They're there, just don't get too preoccupied finding or waiting for him. Imho, its a challenge most single moms would take but if her children is growing just fine then maybe you could do without the diamond also. Just my 2 cents.

It is important for the partners to know each other very well to lead a peaceful life. Single parents find it difficult to find a partner mainly because they have to accepted with a burden or a liablity in the form of kids or financial. It is hard to find one.
