So, let me get this straight...your girlfriend has a similar condition as the character Drew Barrymore plays in "50 First Dates"? I'm so sorry to hear this! I feel for you. That's one of my favorite movies, but it's sad because this condition is real. My first suggestion would be to pray for patience and wisdom because you will need it in this situation. You must really love your girlfriend to stay with her through this difficult situation. It makes me happy to know that there are people like you out there sticking it out through the tough times. There need to be more people like you! Another suggestion would be to figure out if there's anything you can do medically speaking. Check her in to a doctor that specializes in something like this. If you don't have to money to get specific treatments, see what the professionals have to say. They may be able to give you some good tips as far as helping your girlfriend. With your help, there's a good chance she'd be able to come out of it! Lastly, you should take one day at a time. Enjoy her company. It can get frustrating being with someone who doesn't even remember you from one day to the next, but you love her. Things will look up eventually. Give your girlfriend gifts, which will serve as things to remember you by. She'll see the gift whether it be a picture of the two of you in a nice frame or a stuffed animal. It might help exercise her memory. She will see those gifts and will probably wonder where they came from at first. Eventually, she might start figuring things out for herself. Maybe this will heal her mind. I hope that helps!

Sorry about that! I meant to respond to the discussion rather than add a comment. (See above comment.)
