A job interview can be excruciating, painful, stressful and awkward.Or it can simply be good, exciting, enlightening, educational and successful. Whatever you experience while giving an interview can be dependent on how the time prior to that interview you have spent.
Being a resource manager in an IT Staffing firm in texas I will lay down a few tips for that depending upon my experiences with the consultants I have placed in US companies.
FIRST: Rehearse your interview well. Practice makes a man perfect so 2-3 rehearsals will help a lot. General questions like:
definition of success according to you?
Greatest achievement in your life?
Something about yourself.
Why you left the previous job?
Why do you want to join our company?
Are you a team player?
How you meet your deadlines?
NOTE: All these questions are asked to know your attitude as a person and professional attitude. So answers should be well framed beforehand and very optimistic.
Tips for Interview
1. Proper Planning of the expression you need to have on your face that gives the first impression to the interviewers when you enter the room. And please dress properly look fresh and relax!
2. Proper understanding of the requirement as to what is required by the firm and how you are a fit for it.
3. You need 5-6 professional refrences handy.
4. You should research the company well before hand.
5. You should support your resume well, like
what you did in your last project?
How was the client you worked for?
What was your role?
What are your strenghts? personal and Professional
Review your KRAs (Key result areas)
Your accomplishments
6. Always be prepared for the worst possible questions.
7. Always send a thanks giving mail after that
8. Follow up for the response and stay calm.
These are a few tips for a successful interview. I may have left a lot of things and there you all come in the picture. More tips for the same will be appreciated. So what do you think, What else Makes a succesful interview? Happy Blogging

no
be sure to tell the prospective candidates that they can wear and say whatever they want at the interview
also, buy them dinner (without) watching how they fold a napkin and sh it like that
then if you are paying enough and it seems like a good fit, like they could tolerate and maybe enjoy working there, and you (as an employer) could tolerate and maybe benefit from having somebody like that around to make the company earn money and make things flow smoothly. Then its adeal, or else no.

Mr. Kurt looks like you had never evr given a succesful Interview otherwise you would not have tried to spoil a good post by your absurd response.
According to me one should be very attentive and listen patiently before responding in an interview. A sudden outburst of words may lead to a failed attempt. So be calm as rusty has already mentioned.

How a person folds a Napkin does not relly reflects how professionally and technically sound he/she is. And I started the discussion for software professional recruitment not Miss World contest...right
