importing for online auctions ,scammed big time!

After I had gained a profit selling on ebay I searched for goods I could import and after asking for help in online furums I was directed to alibaba=where global trae starts.after finding a gold member (who are ment to be trusted and relyable)I made a small sample order.The order came and I made huge profitts,so i made a big order from them,(1/2 shipping container-$1500 all my savings)I received an email comfirming my payment and stating my order would shipped out emediatly and goods will arrive 7-10 days .however goods did not arrive and when i tried to contact them thair phone was disconected,no reply from email,and they had removed themselves from the site.I contact my local police and they could not help and referred me to an online fraud report site how told theirs nothing I can do.
I paid threw a bank to bank transferr and because the money was cleared my bank cannot help me either.
The order was from Indonesia.Is their anything I can do? or has someone else had this scam?

There's nothing you can do. You took their bait, and they hooked you. Did you bother to investigate the company? Try to find forums where people talk about businesses like that, and see what others had to say about it? You trusted one person that you didn't even know, who was probably in on the deal.

trusted one person?
alibaba is one of the words largest global trade companys!and as for the COMPANY that ripped me off,they were gold pass members(trusted researched companny)and yes I investigated them! I talked to other members ,searched the company searched them in scam forrums and called them and spoke to sales rep and company mannager a number of times before purchase and they even agreed for me to send a third party to checkout their companny and product!only this is highly exspensive and I was told that if they agreed it would be a legit companny.
