A friend already posted something on gifts you don't want to receive this christmas.....
just a thought, do you also prefer that this kind of gift be given by this special person and another gift probably from another person? do you have that kind of expectations?
I mean i experienced this one when i was in high school, i got a special gift on my desk. Of course i was thrilled thinking it came from this special person but it turned out later that it came from this other person who was not that so special at all to me, i thanked him anyway but the gift wasn't that special anymore :-( Do you have the same expectations especially now that's it's a season of gift giving. Do you mind who's giving the gift ?

No i did not expect that i will receive a gift this christmas. Because i never experience at all. Just i remember during christmas party in our school only that time i receieve a gift. But if there is, maybe i will thank her/him even it's not special as long they give it to you with pleasure. It doesn't matter who give.

Not really. I think any gift I receive is special. I try not to think about who is giving the gift. Just the thought of it and that they took the time out to get the gift for me. I know what you mean though, when there is someone special in your life you want a gift from them especially and of course you would hold it in higher esteem.

Yes, absolutely! If someone who has been rotten gives a nice gift, I just give it to someone else as I don't want anything from that person around. If a nice person gives even a little thing, I keep it in a special place and take care of it as though it were important. It really is the thought that counts.

Peace offerings must be actions with me, not words, and most of all not things. I would still look upon it as a bribe, and nobody can buy me. I'd still give it away. Or if like the next one down, I sold it, then give the money to the needy.

Hi bong_domingo! I think i feel that way when I was much younger especially when it comes to someone special. haha..I did receive gifts from other guys who were courting me but how I wish that one sepcial gift came from one special person whom I kinda fancy at that time. LOL! But now that I am older , I really don't mind as long as I receive special gifts. LOL! Take care and have a nice day my friend! Merry Christmas! :)

i think that's true with all gifts.
a big gift given by a person who doesn't mean much is much less significant. as compared to a small gift but given sincerely by someone who matters.
even a card can be very special if given by a child who does not have much. like a world vision sponsored child. then those boxes of chocolates or other expensive gifts given by people who have a lot (like corporate clients) don't mean as much.
