Have you played "Snakes and Ladders" in myLot?

Well, I guess most of you know about the "Snakes and ladders" game. Some of them may still not. It is a board game in which there are 100 square boxes numbered from 1 to 100. And there are Snakes and ladders in between, on those numbers. The objective of the game is to start from 0 and reach 100. Whoever reaches 100 first is the winner.
So what you do is just simply throw the dice each time on your turn and move your pawn, sometimes you land on snakes and sometimes you fall on ladders.
Ladders make you climb up above, taking you towards 100 and Snakes push you down, making your journey tedious and taking you far from 100.
Making an analogy to myLot, there are 0 to 100 numbers here called STAR reputation in myLot. We all start from 0 and aim to reach 100 as in the original game. Then there are snakes and ladders here, malicious snakes who push you down and ladders, the kind mortals who help you climb. The only funny difference here is, many snakes wear the garb of ladders. So it's hard to distinguish between the snakes and ladders here.
The hilarious thing about this myLot's "snakes and ladders" is, here you can continue the game even after winning. The restless snakes will pull you back into the game even if you have reached 100, they cannot be at peace otherwise.
So, tell me, who have you encountered the most, snakes or ladders?
Have you constantly been bitten by snakes? OR
Have you always been on ladders?
Which was the longest snake that bit you?( meaning the longest decrement in numbers at a time, like e.g; 95/100 to 83/100)
What was the biggest ladder lift you got?
For me, it's quite funny what is happening at the moment. I seemingly have a ladder at 95 and a snake at 96, which are moving me up and down.
Do share your experiences of "snakes and ladders", with reference to this context.

Excellent thinking. I see what you mean. I havn't checked my score lately but when I last did I noticed I seemed to stay at the same mark, I noticed I went up than found my self go down and then it went up again....

just checked my reputaion is 89/100 Last time I checked it was around 85, so I must be slowly climbing up...

I've been lucky. I started our with a 9...93 or 94, went up to a 10, dropped to a 9 again for a month and have been a 10 ever since. I did have a little dip from 97 to 95 but now I'm up to 98. I like it here but woon't mind it if I reach 100 and then get pulled back in a little. It's a nice little goal to have and if you got there and stayed there for good it wouldn't be any fun anymore.

Well, I have been a member of myLot long enough to remember before the ratings thing. Since they started this, and the Star, I have always been a 10. I have never been higher than a 98 though. Went down to a 97 for a short time though. This is an interesting way to look at it by the way.

with my first account i was always going down as i have always go in for the snakes rather than ladders and after a big mistake i have after copying a response in my discussion my account was discontinued by mylot and now i have a new account i guess on the right track since i am much careful now and trying to go with the ladder rather than snakes this time.i hope i wont make big mistaagain like before,since i easily get into the heat of discussion i tend to lose concentration on the ruleof the game but now i am much careful than before.

since the star is visible I guess it's hard for some people to ignore it when it goes down. I never feel the need to be popular or likeable, so when I got my first star either 6 or 7, and then I went to 9, then 10 for a few months only to return to 9 - I take it as a simple change of colors.
I've met most snakes at my previous work places so that's why I left them and as soon as I left, more ladders came in to my life which is a great joy. On mylot I could guess a few members are snakes but since there are also equal amount of ladders here I can still enjoy throwing the dice. Of course then if there is no more ladder around I will leave the game, just like I leave the workplaces. I will then be able to go where only ladders go, which is the roof.
Someone told me that the only way to avoid snake bite is to avoid stepping on them, but if you step on them anyway, make it a step they will remember even after you die. which means step hard on the head and crush it with your heels to the point it seems to melt. It may probably still bite you, but it will not forget how you step on it - that is if the memory part still works by then. You see, they only have very small heads.

I have played this game as a kid. It is... okay. Just okay.
But I don't play it at myLot. I am just here to relax and take off with a few cents.
Why make things so complicated? :P

LOL! I love that game and it is funny that you are making the star rating at myLot as an analogy. You must have been hit by the big snake near the 100 mark eh? Not to worry. Just have fun and try to climb up again and again and again...

Yes, I know the game, still play the real version with my son who turned five yesterday! As for the myLot version, I really started playing about two months ago, when I landed on quite a long snake. It dropped me from 100 down to 85, almost overnight. It wasn't so much my reply to one discussion, more because I came to the defence of one of my friends here on mylot, who was being purposely attacked by one individual! Funny that the ladders take longer going back up again!

I am very lucky that I always encounter ladders instead of snakes. The last time I was being dragged down by the snakes was when I just reached my 100th post. I got my blue star for few days and later being awarded with a bright shining red star. Very lucky for me that I encountered most ladders after that *smiles*

Yes, i do played snakes and ladders. But I can no longer remember when was the last time I stopped. But I do enjoyed the game. It reflects realities in life. Sometimes we jump so high from the ladder and sometimes we are bitten by snakes. It's either we succeed or we failed.

For little kids the game was Chutes and Ladders, same thing. I have been up and down a bit, sometimes just for an hour or two, I guess. I found myself at 85 once and did not lose any star points, but now I am sitting at 93, having risen from 91, where I dropped from blue to red. It is very slow going to move up. I think that the higher your ranking the more ladders it takes to move up, and also the more chutes or snakes to pull you down. I have been red, rather than blue, for six months now.

Hi there!
Oh yes, I have played it once and the snake was remarkably big one and have had an gross effect on me at that point in time!
Initially I was at 98, I stayed there for long and then out of the blue I saw myself at 87!! That was killing! I was at the mercy of some users who did not like me at all.
But now, I have outgrown the 'snake and ladder' thing and have learned to take it in my stride.

I have stayed at 95/100 for some time now did drop for a couple of hoours a few months ago but that was a clitch as for ladder I beleive I have alot of those but I still havent go tto 100 lol hang in there the ups and downs go by so fast ya hardly notice them

After reading your post, I have to agree with you, and I experienced the snake on 96 many times. I traveled between 95 and 96 more times than I can recall. I have now been on 97 for what is becoming an eternity, I just hope there isn't a snake in the future taking me back to 96. Good luck I_LUV_YOU.

Apparently I'm one of the few who has never heard of it. I don't guess you're gonna tell me either by the comments that you have left for other people. I haven't been able to spend a lot of time on here cause I've had a hectic schedule so I'm clueless when it comes to mylot.
Maybe eventually I will find out.
