Drinking age too high/low?

Do you think the drinking age is at the right level in your country? Here in the UK it is 18 and there have been talks of raising it higher but my friends generally think that's ridiculous. However in the US and Japan it is 21 (I believe?) Don't you think that this difference is odd?

I would have said no, leave it at 18 cause it wasn't a problem but now just look at the way teens behave, 18 means 16 realistically, like a bunch of mongs the window-lickers show more intelligence than the current teens.
