Puppy update

So, many of you might remember that I adopted a puppy about a year ago. Actually, it will be a year come February. So many of you asked me at the time to let you know how she was doing and update you on her progress. So that's what I'm doing. Mia is a little stinker! lol She is the sweetest dog I've ever had and very affectionate. She hasn't gotten really big and is small enough to be able to climb up in your lap without squishing you and will do so at any opportunity. She loves to give kisses too, unlike my other dog, Ana. Mia refuses to learn any tricks beyond "sit", which took her two months to master. She does know what "go to bed" means and "outside". She's smart in a lot of ways, but my word, she's thick as a brick when it comes to other things like learning to "shake". She's the stinkiest pup I've ever known. She loves to go out into the back yard and find the smelliest thing buried in the ground, dig it up and just roll in it until she positively reeks. She's very skittish and excitable as well. She piddles when she gets excited or when she's scolded. She shakes uncontrollably when she's done something she knows is wrong (like chewing up my brand new slippers!). And she won't look at you when you're scolding her! It's the cutest thing, she will go sit in the corner and turn her head away from you as if she believes that if she doesn't look at you, you can't see her! For all that, she's a good girl. She's very alert and loves both her Mommy and her Daddy very much. Her favorite thing is to crawl in bed with her parents on Sunday mornings and snuggle with her Daddy most especially.
