Trick or treat with yur children

Does everyone still takes their children trick or treat in their neighborhood or do you take them to fall festivals in your community for safety?
I like to take my children to various to festivals around town because I feel safe but I still look thru the candy. =0)

well my parent takes us to festivals in our community. she also thinks its more fun and cool plus we get to meet so many people
