smoking as in what... there are many forms of smoking you have to be a little more specific...
i drink cause i want to drink.. i like the taste... and yes it is good behaviour... my great grandmother told me when i was a little girl to have at least a few drinks a day... it cures all that ales you.. hence why she lived till she was 100 + this was even what the doctor said to her... so it is coming from a doctor as well.. my granny and my father will back up this theory as well...

They say because of this, and that, but really I have not the slighest empathy. I don't smoke. I don't drink. Well, I tried once, to find out what's in it. But I never found "anything" in it that's worth coming back to, or spending time and money on. This is clearly a case of "users' perspectives". That is, what works for you may not work for me; what makes me feel good may not make you feel good. Tastes and preferenes ... and a host of other interacting factors makes consumer theory interesting ... and consumer behavior difficult to pin down. heheh.

Most people who smoke and drink know that it is not good for them and for their near and dear ones. yet to do so. I think it is to fulfil a need within them. The smoke and drinks are to hide something they don't want others to know, and to fill that emptiness within.

Sometimes I drink a lot just because I like the taste of the drink. I don't understand people that drink things like vodka and coke, where you can't even taste the vodka, you're just drinking something to get drunk, but if you're drinking something that tastes nice sometimes you're drunk before you even notice it.:P
