Absolutely addicted! I got my first computer when the only home computers were Apple II's. So basic compared to the computers of today and I have been using one ever since. I love my computer and it is the best way to chat to my family now I have moved so far away.

I now live in a rural town in Queensland and my brothers still live in Melbourne we are hundreds of miles apart. My partner and I moved here seeking a more peaceful life. I try and keep in contact by e-mail but one of my brothers is such an introvert he hardly ever replies. He never used to talk much either.

I may be addicted to my computer but I do take care of my eyes. There are lots of things that affect the eyes, such as reading, watching tv. You always need to look after your eyes. In my last job I used a computer all day and sometimes those days were 12 to 14 hours long. That was bad for the eyes.

Well, my friends and parents call me a addict but I don't see myself as as an addict at all. It's just that I don't have anything to do at the time I'm sitting at my computer. Sure I can do without my PC, no problem. I haven't touched the thing yesterday, I defragmented all of the drives and now it works like a charm :)
So no, I'm not addicted to using the computer.

Computers aren't as harmful for the eyes as you think, especially if you're using LCD monitors because they don't "radiate". It can be harmful if you're looking at the monitor from a close distance, though.
Also, even if you get astigmatism or anything similar it is "cured" by training the muscles around your eye. Read a lot, watch TV, go outside every once in a while, be on the computer a bit and so on and so on. The muscles deform your eyeball if you're using one thing too much.
Sadly, my left eye is astigmatic because my brother poked me in it with his finger.

A few years ago I would have said yes I am, but I have settled down it is not such a big thrill for me any more. I do not think that I could go with out my computer though. It is just the novelty has worn off.

Maybe, because 60 percent of my time and 100 percent of my work need a computer. Even my rest day, my day will not complete if I am not using PC. Computer is my best buddy and my own personal companion when I feel some stress and I used it to ease my feeling.
