I hope this isnt considered inapproiate for a mylot discussion if so I apologize! I have two children. My daughter is 3 1/2 and my son is almost 2 months old. I read in a book once that to check for inverted nipples you need to squeeze the areola and if the nipple pulls back inward a little that you have inverted nipples. I always thought before this that inverted nipples actually looked inverted when you looked at them. Mine look normal but when squeezed like the book says they sort of go back in. I noticed both my children had trouble latching on and I wonder if this is why. My son does better then my daughter did but sometimes usually it still takes him about 10 tries to latch on before he gets latched on correctly. You can see when he tries to latch on that it doesnt draw into his mouth correctly. Has anyone else ever been told they had inverted nipples or had trouble like this as well. I nursed my daughter for 19 months so it didnt hinter things to much but still its kind of troubling to sit and have them take forever to get latched on and have them get frusterated they cant get it. I usually have to pinch the nipple a certain way so he can get it better.

Hello. Funny that I am reading about this. Last night I went out with girl friends who are married and one has a kid. Anyways, one of our topics was inverted nipples, and out of the blue, I bluntly asked how it looks like, but still, despite the description, I could not visualize. Anyways, with this post, thank you. :)
