Well, I don't know what is a good trip to you or what your family want in a trip/ travel/ holiday. It also depends on your budget. If you and your family like swimming/outing on the beach then I suggest you go to a place where there are beautiful beach. If you're a nature lover, then go to a place where there's mountains where you can have mountain climbing, nature trekking. You can go on a cruise too, stay on a cruise ship with your family going to some places. I guess a cruise offers some fun and enjoyment, food and leisure while you are there.

It depends on your budget and interests. Traveling with children it would also depends on their ages. If you want to explore a country close to home how about Italy. You could explore the coastline around Naples. There are beautiful places like Sorrento and islands like Capri. Another country in Europe that might interest you is Germany. You could fly to Munich and explore Bavaria. Seeing magical looking castles would be lovely for you family. You could tour round the different castles and pop over to Salzburg in Austria. There you family could take a Sound of Music tour. If you want to travel further how about touring South Africa? You could see the city of Cape Town and view wildlife like seals and penguins there. Going to the picturesque Garden Route you could spend time on lovely sandy beaches and have a ride on a steam train. Then you could go an a wild animal safari to see animals like lions, giraffes and zebras. Australia or New Zealand would be other wonderful countries to choose but they would mean spending out on an expensive flight.

New Zealand is one of the most beautiful places on earth. If you have the time and the money, it is worth a visit. Any part is good.
