Hello everybody. I have been willing to start a business for some time now, but I have trouble getting started. I don not know where to start? I have a clear idea of what my business will be, but I simply do not know where to start. Do you have any suggestions to help me get started?

I'm actually in the process of writing two books that will help people start their own businesses. They are called Gateway to Financial Freedom Books 1 & 2. Book 1 is going to help people who have a product or service they want to offer, but don't know how to get started. Book 2 is going to help people without a product or service find one (or more) that is best suited for them. Both books will take you step by step through the entire process of starting a business including writing a business plan, designing a website, and marketing. I've also got a few free newsletters that I write that might help you. Feel free to take a look at my website below, and contact me here or through my website if you need any help with anything. Take Care and Good Luck! Naya http://lionsongsden.com

Thank you for your post. I will go take a look at your web site now. By the way, what experience do you have in the business world?

Well I owned and operated my own cleaning business for 4 years until I sold it and moved to Australia. And I've been writing for over 10 years. My main "business" is writing. I published my first book a couple of years ago and because I am self-published I had to do my own marketing. So for the last two years I've been researching different methods of marketing on the internet. About 6 months ago or so I decided to combine my writing talents with some of the different online businesses available. That's how I came up with the idea of writing the Gateway to Financial Freedom Books. Everything I am learning about online marketing and online businesses I'm incorporating into the book. I've also taken marketing and business courses when I was in college and I'm including a lot of the things that I've learned there in the books too. My main goal with my "online business" is to teach people how to successfully own and operate an online business while avoiding some of the common mistakes people make. I also want to make people aware of the scams that are out there and teach them how to spot them. And believe me... I've run into many and even fallen for some. If there's anything else you want to know about me, please ask or email me through my website. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have. Take Care,

I think the best thing to do first in starting a business is to build a flowchart. You will need to flowchart how everything will work. Just as you have the clear idea you will need to put it on paper and then take the steps to put everything in place. Leave lots of room to add more information because you may find ideas that will help you to reach each step as you go.

Thank you for your sound advice. I will get to it, that I do a flowchart of my future business. I already have a kind of flowchart, but it is all in my head. Maybe if I put it on paper, I will be able to find out exactly where I have to start.

It is hard to point you in any direction not knowing the buisness you are speaking of. I guess if this is a brick and morter bussiness, I would look into any governing laws I would need to know about that would have any jurisdiction over my bussiness. Is it service oriantated or product driven? What and who are my competators? Can I compeat in the local market? It's hard for me to give any degree of help not knowing what you are planning. But best of Luck.
