Bush Adminstration wants the CIA tape investigation off?

The Bush Administration wants a federal court and Congressional committee to not pursue the destruction of videotapes showing CIA interrogations of two al Qaeda suspects. It claimed that the investigation would interfere with an ongoing investigation between the Justice Department and the CIA.
An order in June had declared that the government must preserve evidence and information regarding detainees held at Guantanamo Bay.
Assuming that the Bush Administration is telling the truth, that the investigation may hinder the collaboration between the Justice Department and CIA, is it justified to violate the the June order? Do you think the Administration has something to hide? Any additional comments welcome.

Every Administration has something to hide. It just how criminal is it.This sounds big.Why else would they want the investigation stopped. If there weren't anything, they would welcome the probe.

Do I EVER think the Administration has something to hide! I know there are those who will continue to disagree with me and that's fine, but I believe this Administration has been the most sneaky, conniving, lying Administration in history and it hasn't been over trivial matters or something that happened decades ago and has no impact on our lives today. How long and how many things are they going to justify in the name of "security" and "safety"?
