and the remote control!!! LOL...I know that some of us are unable to get out and exercise due to health constrictions...and others that just don't have the motivation...and yet others that just don't give a hoot about all that hubbub surrounding the benefits and the "goodness" of exercise...but for those of you that do enjoy it, what are your favorite ways of working out? Do you have a daily routine? A weekly plan? A monthly ....shall I go on?...or do you just take advantage of the time when it pops up and do whatever strikes your fancy? I am a walker as I have said before...and during the summer months I pound the pavement pretty much daily for about 4-5 miles. During the winter or rainy seasons you will find me on my treadmill trying to watch an interesting movie or television show to keep me occupied while I walk 5-7 miles. It is something I began about 11 years ago..and I do it pretty religiously...but lately I have not been so good at keeping my daily routine...and it really is apparent to me...I have way less energy without my workout and my mental state definitely suffers...so I am trying to be a daily exerciser again...how about you? Any motivators to make you want to "move"?

I am a... couch potato! :P
Lol...
I used to run competitively but I stopped. Then I tried to jog to keep fit but I stopped.
Then I tried to get it back again and again but alas, I am not too successful on this count...

Wow..competitive runner...I'm impressed!!! I walk very fast ( about 4.8 miles per hour) but I am NOT a runner..it just kills me to run..it always has...but I can relate to the "trying to get it back"...just in the short time I have let up on my daily walk, I am having trouble getting back on track ...and after 11 years.. :( But I am determined, for what that's worth!!
Perhaps someday you will jump up off that couch ( computer chair) and throw down that remote ( keyboard) and run off into the future...stranger things have happened...But no matter what you do..enjoy your life..and laugh often...that is what is important!!!

Hahaha, it's... running.
Either you hate it or you love it.
Before you start, you hate it.
After you finish, you love it.
Then you stop, and you hate it again and don't want to start. :P

I just took up walking with a friend of mine. Scheduling time with someone else helps keep me accountable and active!

It's great to have a buddy to commit with..that accountability is a great motivator!!! Good for you..I just finished 5.7 miles on my treadmill..on these cold rainy days it's great to be able to pop in a movie and get some exercise at the same time!!!

Expertise and guidane should be adopted by a proper coach before starting a exercise. Otherwise, some unexpected or disorder groth of organs of our body can be visible.

I'm a walker, and I love to walk. With the cold weather and snow and ice everywhere, it makes it tough. I try to get to the mall, but I can't drive right now, so it's tough to get there. This time of year the mall is a bit too crowded for me any ways. I used to exercise daily, but then my health declined and I've been in and out of the hospital too many times this year. My depression hasn't helped any of this this, and this hasn't helped my depression. I'd really like to get back into it. My counselor has had me check out some exercise tapes/DVDs from the library. I have narrowed it down, but now I have to try them. I also like to ride my bike, but can't really do that this time of the year, where it's so cold and there's the snow/ice on the roads. We have a rail trail in town that we like to use, but the town doesn't keep up with it in the winter. Got any other ideas?
