How to increase PageRank?

I think the only way is to get other sites of higher page rank to link to you and also to provide regular and good content

increasing the pages rank needs a lot of effort and the main condition on which the pages and works in his that if you have a website which has got links on other websites then it means that your website has weightage. Now if a website with a good pages rank links back to you than you have a higher weightage. Like a link from website page with a rank of one is nothing if you compare it to a link from a page which has a base rank of 4 or five. so you have to exchange Link of your site with others so that your reasoning can increase. But let me tell you this is the very time consuming job and the results will take at least two or three months to show. This is not something which will immediately be updated so you have to be patient and keep on doing it until and unless you are getting the results.
