I am Irish. Although my grandmother was French. I suppose this makes me 25% French. My Grandmother actually had an Algerian father and a French mother, so perhaps this makes me 12.5 % Algerian. I look 100% Irish I am told.
What about you??

my ancestors were french back in the 1600's. further along they mixed with dutch people. i dont know what to call my nationality now. i am a white south african. that term is almost a sure trouble finder.

well the thing is, white south africans are the most aware people of european origin that exist. For starters, most of them can speak African languages, they are familiar with indigene african culture and attitudes. Its just unfortunate and wrong that they are all held accountable for apartheid. Especially younger ones. If I were you and suffering from fear in the land of my forefathers I would move to a safer part of the country or else I would go to Namibia. If you are africaans you probably don't have the right of residence in any European country unlike many of those of UK origin.

you're telling me! we are afraid of our lives here. i was just a child when it ended and my parents never told us anything about it as they were also against apartheid.
