We have our annual Family Christmas party next sun when our entire family gather together for the day and we have a family member dress up as santa and hand out a gift to each child (we all bring a small wrapped gift for our own child) and then the adults do a yankee swap for our family is very very large that individual gifts would be too costly.
now my question to you is what do you think is a good cut off age for taking them out of the santa gift giving and have them take part in the yankee swap??
we usually do about age 12 but at times that can be hard because some of the adults really bring very much adult gifts .thank you in advance for your input

at 18 they get cut off as far as I am concerned. if everyone is treated the same and knows in advance then there won't be any hurt feelings. We do a polyanna on one side of the family where all the kids pick and name and exchange so they do get one gift if they choose to be a part of it.
