Spontaneous or thoughtful

Is it better for a guy to randomly go all out and do everything he can to try to make his girlfriend/wife happy, or to do it on a "periodical" basis but be the most thoughtful one could possibly be?

Better if he do it both. make everyday special and some occasions extra special. The important thing is he do things for the sake that he wants his wife or girlfriend to be happy. The thoughts of doing it makes it really sweet. I think every woman wants to feel that they matter to their husband or boyfriend. Every woman dreams to feel how important they are in every way to their partners.
