i've just been assigned to write a series of articles about uggs. i live in a warm country so i've never seen a pair of uggs before. based on my research though, a lot of people seem to think uggs are ultra comfortable and perfect for winter. there are however a lot of people who just hate the look of uggs and think they are downright ugly.
there is another side to the issue though which i think people are not focusing on. uggs apparently come from sheep that have been killed just to make them. that, for me, is kinda sad.
what do you guys think about uggs?

I live in Southern California, where, yes, I see a lot of Uggs. Here, they're like winter wear for surfers. I think they're awfully cute but since I have size 9 feet, I won't be stomping around in them any time soon. I'd feel like Sasquach.
I see them a lot on girls and women - as far as I can recollect, I've never seen any on men. As a matter of fact, I don't even know whether there IS such a thing - Uggs for men.

I sell uggs and they do come i size 9, by the way. I think they are too hot for me to wear. But they sell like crazy so there are tons of people who must love them. I got a lot of requests a few weeks ago by parents who wanted to purchase them for their daughters. Some were husbands who wanted them for their wifes. Yes, they do make them for men, but I do not sell the mens. I have not seen the mens either. They classic uggs are realy plain looking actually.

well they sell uggs in cold countries like the US, UK and Australia. yeah, i feel sad for the sheep. my country is a tropical country so people here stomp around in crocs instead of uggs. crocs are pretty expensive though so i don't think i'll be buying one soon

We used to grow uggs on the farm where I grew up. AS I remember right there were two kinds. The regular kind and the fur-covered uggs. I can remember getting up early in the summer sunshine and hurrying out to the field to help with the harvest. The whole family would be there hurrying down the rows grabbing the uggs by the short hair and tossing them into the big open wagons. It was imperative to catch them quickly before they all flew away.
Gosh I'd give anything for an Ugg right now!

I don't like them really, I have seen a few people wearing them. It's fine with jeans when you go off to work or something but they don't really have much place else in my opinion.
