been ripped off when buying online

Have you ever purchased anything off the internet only to find out that you got ripped by some unscrupulous mongrel.

i bought a fragile candleholder from this lady on ebay and because i didn't pay her $5.00 for insurance, she tossed it in a paper envelope and shipped it that way. Well of course it arrived broken and i complained to ebay and got my money back ! some care has to be taken to ensure that it doesn't arrive broken... i hate people like that

It has happened to me but now I am wiser. I always check sellers out first, it pays off in the long run as I have been able to avoid the scammers.

Yes, but only one time and I was newer at ebay at that point. Every other purchase I have made has worked out...but it is important to check your seller's feedback before purchasing.
