Cash Converters

Im not sure about the rest of the world but in Australia we have a store called "Cash Converters". They would have to be the biggest rip off merchants iv ever dealt with!..next to the fact that they give you next to nothing when you sell to them, they will sell that item for around 3 times what they paid you!..arghh it annoys me...anyone else out their share my view? :)

I have never used them but I am not surprised. Years ago when my mother and I were really struggling to survive she tried to sell her engagement ring and discovered that diamonds only have value when you buy them. I always thought it was a kind of pawn shop and they have never paid well. She didn't sell it in the end and we managed.
I have watched the adds for the store on TV and wondered about it.

The tv commercials are so bad...I remember once one of their adds showed pictures of wedding rings and old stuff that is probably close to the heart of some people and all the add said was "forget the sentimental value, we'll give you top dollar"...its just such a commercial lie..but hey most stuff on tv is majorly dramatized anyway. :)
