an interesting incident

it was the month of january when i was going to kolkata by train. since i had to do some important works at allahabad, so,after reaching there in the morning, i depositedmy luggage in the cloak room and left for the concern offices .in the evening i came back to the railway station and found that the traini had to catch for kolcata was not going to depart at right time due to some technical disorder in its engine. it was not due to leave for another hour,i had ample of time to spare.after buying some magazines to read during the journey, i made my way to the luggage office to colllect the heavy suitcase i had left there three days before .there were only few people were waiting and i took out my purse to find the reciept for my suitcase .the reciept did not seem to be where it was kept . i emptied my purse. railway tickets,money,scraps of paper and photograps fell out of it but no metter how hard i searched, the reciept was no where to be found. when my turn came , i explained the situation sorrowfully to the assistant .The man looked at me suspiciously as if to say that he had heard this type of story many a times and asked me to describe the case. i told him that it it was an old brown loooking object, no different from many suitcases i could see on the shelves.the assistant gave me a form and told me to make a list of the chief contents of the case.if they were correct he said i could take the case away.i tried to remember all the articles and wrote them down as they came to my mind .after i had done this ,i went to look among the shelves .there were hundred of cases there and for one dreadful movement ,ir occured to me that if someone had picked the reciept up, he could have easily clamed the suitcase already. this had not happened fortunetly for after a while i found the case lying on its side high up in a corner . after examining the article inside the assistant was soon satisfied that it was mine and told me that i could take the case away.again i look out my purse this time to pay , i pulled out a ten rupee not and missing reciept sliped out of it .. i could not help blushing and glanced up at the assistant.he was nodding his head smilingly .as if to say that he had often seen this happened before too . it was indeed a funny incident which happened with me last year.
