Yes, i own a laptop computer. Just like yourself I craved a laptop for quite some time, and finally I bought one about 5 years ago. Sadly, it is now becoming rather dated so I am giving serious consideration to purchasing a newer model. This is the major problem were a laptop is concerned, it is not only more expensive than a desktop computer but is far more difficult to upgrade. If my desktop fell well behind the times I could replace the processor with a faster one (providing the motherboard would support it) or purchase a new sound card, graphics card etcetera. However, with a laptop it is not quite so easy, so in many cases it is difficult to avoid it becoming outmoded.

Ya,laptop is not like desktop,desktop is placed at home,nobody cares if it is in. But five years is not a very short time for a computer. So don't hesitate to buy a new one. Thanks very much for your reply!

Like you..thinking of having one but i got use to my desktop..no..dont want to waste money on lap unless i want it to be my travelling companion.
