My 7 year old girl is having a very hard time going to bed at night! She has always had a hard time...it seems like we never have a good routine that we can stick with that works for her. Tonight it is 10 o clock before she has finally fallen asleep, I have taken red juice out of her diet, cut WAY back on her sugar intake...not that she got alot anyways from home anyways but some parents don't seem to think giving there kids all kids of sugar during the day affects them, then they bring it to school and give it out, plus all the parties and stuff going on right now. My daugther is doing a badge for brownies right now and she has given up junk food for a whole week. She is doing really well and i though that might help with her sleeping...her night mares have stopped...she hasn't had one since we stopped giving her red juice. But she says that isn't the reason why she won't go to sleep she just says she isn't tired. Then in the morning it is very hard to get her up. I'm getting very frustrated with her stalling All night like the i need a drink of water, I need a story...when we have already read for 20 minutes....anyone with some ideas i would really appricate it
thanks
frustrated mom

hi there..! thats really sad..
i think the best this is, try to wake her up early in the morning.. go outside esp get some heat from the sun..
a simple walk of 15mins i think is enough..
then make or assign her to an activity that she would really love and enjoy.. let her play all day long(NOT VIDEO GAMES OR ANY STUFF THAT SO LAME..i mean a game requires some actions!)
for sure before the sleeping time(that you would want to) she's very tired then, and NOW BE ABLE TO SLEEP..(very well)
hope that helps girl!=)

You can let her sleep with you for someday and look into it.Cause of it are complex,you may pay more care of her and with days go by,everything will be fine.
