Peter Jackson To Direct The Hobbit

Some great news to all you Lord of the Rings fan’s like me I just read the Peter Jackson is going to direct The Hobbit movies. This has previously been a major doubt ever happening as he had been in a dispute with New Line Cinema. He will be filming two Hobbit films simultaneously and plan to release the two films in 2010 and 2011. It’s a long time to wait but if will be worth the wait when they finally arrive on screen.

Hmmm....I thought Peter Jackson was said to not direct The Hobbit....seems like its on and off, on and off.....Not even sure if this news is true

Seems the problems he had with New Line are settled, actually they are saying he is going to be an Executive Producer for the films.

I know this discussion is a bit old, but I just found it! I too read that Peter Jackson will direct The Hobbit movies. I'm very happy about it--he's been great to the LotR fans when it comes to making the movies. He really cares about fans' input and I hope the Hobbit movies are as great as the LotR movies.
