I just read this quote by Oscar Wilde "Ordinary riches can be stolen. Real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you." Do you agree?

i agree. people who are usually materialistic aren't very happy at the end of the day. things dont make you happy in the long run. you have to be satisfied with yourself and your life (people in it and the things you do) to find happiness.

They may never be taken away but certainly in my experiences have been compromised and that was difficult enough to endure . . .

OF COURSE! There are, likely, events or things that could happen to a person that may hinder their access to those treasures...or that might distort them...but nobody can take away who you are, what you're made of, your essence...you.
